香港中华工商业协会为非政治性组织，在爱国、兴业的基础上依据香港特别行政区法例注册成立，不受地区和所有制限制的自律性、非牟利性社会团体。协会以促进会员单位实现共同利益为根本宗旨，广泛团结和联系海内外优秀工商业界人士，增进相互理解，增强社会责任感，以达到竞合双赢的愿景。

香港中华工商业协会作为集经贸交流、投资促进、商业社交、康体休闲于壹体的商会组织，来自于海内外的4600多家优秀工商业企业已成为协会各类会员，这些会员企业分别来自于房地产开发、金融服务、汽车及零部件、医药化工、机械电子、高新科技、轻工业、政府团体及现代服务业等多个领域，协会于国际金融中心香港为基地，目前已在中国台北、新加坡及中国内地的上海、北京、广州设有协会代表处及办事机构。

经过多年自身的发展，HKCICA已具备了消化来自国际间的各类信息功能，让会员受益是HKCICA最大的目标，2006年年中，HKCICA基于《内地与香港更紧密经贸关系安排》（简称CEPA）合作框架下，进壹步为内地企业及政府组织提供更趋完善的全球化商业服务，协助海外及港澳台会员开展投资及贸易等活动，促进区域间经济的繁荣发展。

The Hong Kong Chinese Industry & Commerce Association is a non-political organization. On the basis of patriotism and development, it registered as a self-regulation, non-profit social group without regional and ownership restrictions according to the Society General laws of the HKSAR. The association is to promote the fundamental purpose of achieving the common interests of member institutions unity, unite the elites of a wide range of industry and commerce at home and abroad, promote mutual understanding and enhance social responsibility, in order to achieve a win-win vision of competing.

HKCICA is a network of economic and trade exchanges, investment promotion, business social networking, sports and leisure in one chamber of commerce. More than 4,500 overseas industrial and commercial enterprises have become the association members. Member companies are from the real estate development, financial services, automobiles and parts, pharmaceutical chemicals, machinery and electronics, high technology, light industry, government sections, modern service industries and other fields. Presently the association has already based international financial centers in Hong Kong and has offices in Taipei, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing.

After years of self-development, HKCICA already has a digest of information from various international functions, so that the members can get the biggest benefit is its target. In mid-2006, HKCICA, based on the "Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement" (referred to as CEPA), took the next step for Mainland enterprises and government organizations to provide more comprehensive global business services and to assist members to carry out overseas and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan investment and trade activities in order to promote inter-regional economic prosperity.
