商会成立于 1890年4月，该商会是目前世界上历史最为悠久的享有盛名的商会之一，商会还是世界上最大的商会之一。该会为志愿的，非盈利性的商业团体。目前，商会已与世界上超过35个国家的50多家姐妹机构签订了合作协议，并利用商会的世界网络为会员和商人们提供商机。商会通过高质量的信息和商业机会为会员的企业服务，同时也维护当地的商业企业的利益，是他们与政府对话的桥梁。
Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Johannesburg(JCCI) was founded in1890, the Chamber is an independent, non-political, subscription-based association dedicated to promoting a business-friendly environment. Their members are drawn from every sector of the economy, and range from independent entrepreneurs to the large corporate.
For the current moment JCCI unites more than 35 countries that has signed the cooperation agreements.
The Chamber takes most seriously its duty to fairly and impartially represent the interests of the business community and to provide a leadership role on matters of concern.
