International Metal Art Exhibition Will Be Unveiled in the China Millennium Monument.

One of sub-venue activities of the 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, "the 3rd International Metal Art Exhibition in 2013," will be held in Contemporary Art of the China Millennium Monument Museum from 4 to15 November.
This exhibition takes "Cross Border • Experiment" as the theme, aimed at promoting the interaction and integration between the metal art and the contemporary art, original design, public art, sculptures on shelves and other art classes, and exploring and experimenting that the contemporary metal art crosses borders and extends towards the industrial manufacturing, consumption of artworks and other broader fields.
The exhibition collects the global works. It has already been identified that more than 280 pieces of fine metal art works from 19 countries and regions, such as the United States, Norway, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Japan, Korea, China, etc., will attend the exhibition. The artworks that are created by international artists with multi-view, multi-material, and multi-technology will show the contemporary metal art with a diversified development and broad market prospects.
Since its establishment in 2009, International Metal Art Exhibition has increased its participating countries and exhibited artworks year by year, and now has become a high-end academic platform for the work exhibition and exchange of domestic and foreign metal art industry. This exhibition will hold academic forums in the corresponding period, in which the domestic and foreign artists and representatives of art institutions and enterprises that participate in the exhibition will have in-depth discussion for the integration of metal art, industrial design, and many other classes and for its promotion towards the multi-field application.
The exhibition is hosted by China Millennium Monument Art Foundation, Office of Cultural & Creative Industry Expo Organizing Committee, Gehua Cultural Center Co., Ltd., and Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, and is prepared by Contemporary Art of China Millennium Monument Museum, and Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University. Furthermore, it is jointly supported by more than 20 Chinese and foreign universities, such as Oslo National Academy of the Arts in Norway, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, the Glasgow School of Art, Seoul National University, and China Central Academy of Fine Arts.
