The 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo Will Gather Cultural Resources of the Capital, and Many Cultural and Creative Activities Will Be Open to the Public

People's Daily Online, Beijing, Report on October 28 (reporters Bao Congying and Wang Yang): The 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will be held in Beijing. The reporter learns from the press conference of the 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo convened this morning that the current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will organize more than one hundred activities of such six series as integrated activities, exhibition and presentation, sub-venues, forum conferences, promoting trade and creative activities. Nine districts and counties, such as Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, etc., will set up sub-venues. Many activities will be open to the public.
 
More than 30 cultural and creative themed activities will be open to the public.
 
The current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will take "promoting cultural trade and accelerating economic upgrade" as the theme, and will be kicked off with a classic drama in the Capital Theatre on November 6. As the main sub-venue, China International Exhibition Center has set up 16 theme exhibition areas for exhibition and presentation, covering cultural art performance and animation games, arts and crafts, cultural relic and museum related cultural and creative products, cultural tourism attractions and tourism products, design creativity, and many other fields.
 
In order to achieve the purpose of participation of the whole city, the current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will also set up 20 sub-venues, in which nine districts and counties in Beijing, such as Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, etc., will join them. More than 30 cultural and creative themed activities, such as Overbridge Art Building Dazhalan and Liulichang in Xicheng District; Halloween Fun Festival of Happy Valley in Chaoyang District; the 4th National Chrysanthemum Challenge Competition in Fengtai District; the 8th China-Songzhuang Art Festival in Tongzhou District; Beijing International Trade Fair in Shunyi District, etc., will be open to the public.
 
The advantages of the cultural center resources of the capital will be gathered so as to promote the industrial development.
 
The current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will further make use of unique resource advantages of Beijing as the national cultural center. The relevant national ministries, central units, universities in Beijing, and industry associations have provided enthusiastic support for and deep participation in the Expo so that the authoritativeness, perspectiveness and orientation of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo can be promoted. A number of industrial functional areas gathering the cultural arts of Beijing, scientific research and education, creative talents and other advantages of resources will make a strong debut. A batch of national cultural industry parks, such as CBD-Dingfuzhuang International Media Industry Corridor, National Advertising Industrial Park, China Publishing Creative Industry Base, China 3D Film and Television Industry Base, etc., will highlight the exhibition of new achievements, new patterns and new opportunities of the development of cultural industry parks in various fields.
 
More than a thousand cultural projects will globally seek for cooperation and trade.
 
"The current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will highlight the cultural and financial innovation and urge the implementation of the major industrial projects." Liu Yang, who is deputy director of the Organizing Committee Office of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo and vice-president of Beijing Trade Development Association, introduced that 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will pay more attention to the promotion and trade. More than one thousand projects with broad development prospects integrating culture and technology, culture and finance, culture and many other industries will globally seek for cooperation and trade.
 
In addition, the national- and provincial-level cultural and creative industry parks and cultural industry cluster regions that more than ten provinces, municipalities and cities focus on building in recent years will participate in the Expo with major projects in the cultural industry with rich local characteristics and advantages, in which the projects integrating culture and technology account for a larger proportion than that in the previous Expo. A large number of key cultural and creative industry projects from various places, such as Tianjin National Animation Industry Comprehensive Demonstration Park, "Dunhuang Cultural and Creative Industry Park" which is a new industrial park integrating science and technology and culture in Lanzhou, "China Artwork Digital Resource Management and Application Platform " in Beijing, etc., will attract domestic and foreign investment and seek for cooperation.
 
More than 10 countries will exhibit cultural and creative products rich in exotic customs.
 
One of the core objectives of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo is to promote Chinese culture "to go out." Galloping Horse, Sohu Changyou and many other cultural export enterprises will exhibit the new achievements of "going out" of Chinese radio, film and television and "going out" of Chinese cartoon.
 
The current Cultural & Creative Industry Expo will expand the scope of foreign participation, and the degree of internationalization will also be improved. Senior officials of the World Intellectual Property Organization and other international organizations, as well as foreign governments and professional delegations from more than 20 countries, such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, etc., and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions will also make a special trip to participate in the Expo. The business associations and cultural institutions from more than ten countries, such as South Korea, India, Thailand, Iran, etc., will set up special booths in the Expo, exhibiting cultural and creative products rich in exotic customs.
 
Since its establishment in 2006, the Expo has been successfully held for seven times and has achieved fruitful results. According to incomplete statistics, the previous seven Cultural & Creative Industry Expos have attracted 320 governmental and non-governmental delegations (more than 6,000 foreign professionals in total) from the United Nations, European Union, World Intellectual Property Organization, the International Olympic Committee, the World Animation Association and other international organizations and more than 90 countries and regions, in which more than 300 senior officials of international organizations, responsible people of the authorities of the cultural and creative industries in the world, internationally renowned experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, etc., will make speeches in various forums of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo; 31 domestic provinces, municipalities and cities and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions send delegations to participate in various activities of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo; the previous seven Cultural & Creative Industry Expos have entered into a collaboration cooperation intention, agreement and total, with a total amount of more than 360 billion yuan.
 
It is reported that currently, the preparatory work of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo has entered the final phase of implementation, and the main venue of the exhibition has completed its exhibition attraction work; the collection and the early docking of the promoting projects are carried out in full swing; the Organizing Committee Office is actively inviting domestic and foreign professional visitors and businessmen to visit and participate in the expo for exchange and negotiation.
