There Are More Than 45,000 Cultural and Creative Enterprises in Chaoyang District, Beijing with More Than 230 billion Yuan of Annual Revenue

From the Chaoyang District Media Exchange Meeting of the 8th Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, the reporter knows that by the end of October, there have been more than 45,000 cultural and creative enterprises registered in Chaoyang District, and the estimated annual revenue has exceeded 230 billion Yuan. The cultural and creative industry has become one of the four pillar industries and has become an important engine for promoting the upgrading and development of the regional economy.
 
According to the report, the cultural and creative industry in Chaoyang District presents the characteristics of industrial development of "one fastness, two bigness, and three highness" as a whole.
 
The "one fastness" refers to fact that the development speed is fast. Up to now, there have been 45,000 cultural and creative enterprises registered in Chaoyang District, with an average annual increase of 5000 registered cultural and creative enterprises; from January to August this year, the large-scale cultural and creative enterprises have achieved about 140 billion yuan of revenue, and the estimated annual revenue has exceeded 230 billion yuan, which is nearly five times as much as that in 2005. Especially the new media business represented by a new generation of mobile network communication has a year-on-year growth rate of more than 30%.
 
The "two bigness" refers to fact that the cultural and creative industry occupies a big proportion in the city, and the district-level financial resource has a big contribution. At present, the number, income, number of employees and other key indicators of the large-scale cultural and creative enterprises in the district occupy about a quarter of that in the city; in nine major industries of the cultural and creative industry, the four industries in Chaoyang District, such as the advertising exhibition industry, the artwork trading industry, the tourism, leisure and entertainment industry, and the industry of other ancillary services, have an annual revenue ranking first in the city. The other five major industries also rank in the top three with very outstanding comprehensive comparative advantages. The value added in the cultural industry accounts for 13.2% of GDP in the district, which is five times as much as the national average level. From January to September this year, the cultural industry has formed the district-level fiscal revenue of 6.63 billion yuan, accounting for about 23% of the total district. It is estimated that the annual fiscal revenue will exceed 9.0 billion yuan.
 
The "three highness" refers to fact that the development quality is high, the aggregation degree is high and the international level is high. The industry structure, corporate structure, and investment structure inside the industry are being optimized, and the driving force is more diverse and stable. The cultural media industry with a high technological content, a high creativity degree, and a high added value will become the first leading industry. The income, assets, number of enterprises, and number of employees in the cultural media industry account for more than 50% of the total amount of the cultural and creative industry. Currently, cultural enterprises mainly gather in the three major functional areas, such as Olympic City, CBD City and Electronic City. It has distinctive internationalization characteristics. The income, profits, taxes and number of enterprises of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign cultural and creative enterprises achieve to account for 47.2 %, 30.7 %, 52.2% and 33.1% of the cultural and creative industry in the district, respectively.
