In the current 8th Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, it not only shows a lot of products in the future, but also shows many rarities that you should continue to pay attention to.

In the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Area of the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, two rarities have attracted the attention of visitors. One rarity is the large jade work Eight Great Sights of Yanjing, which is made of a piece of very rare Hetian jade in a carving way. The other rarity is the large cloisonné work Treasure Bowl made by Beijing Enamel Factory Co., Ltd. From 2002 to now, Beijing has gradually selected 24 traditional arts and crafts known as Beijing arts and crafts treasures. The two works were selected this year and meet with the audience for the first time in the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo this time.

Visitors said, "I came to visit the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo held last year, but I really did not see this. It is very beautiful. Moreover, the work Eight Great Sights of Yanjing reflects eight sights with features in old Beijing."

Visitors said, "I appreciate it very much, and it is very good."

The reporter said, "I find that you see it here all the time happily."

Visitors said, "That’s right. I have taken a picture of it."

The large jade work Eight Great Sights of Yanjing is 3 tons in weight and 260 cm in height, and is made in such a way that more than 10 Chinese arts and crafts masters and experts supervised throughout the process. It takes the masterpiece Eight Great Sights of Yanjing collected in the National Palace Museum as the blueprint. It is combined with the characteristics of the jade material, and it is carved according to the material. The Eight Great Sights of Yanjing is cleverly distributed with jade material in a fluctuation way. In the aspect of the carving skills, it is provided with the dual characteristics of carvings in South and North.

Guo Ming, president of BABC, said, "Now, this stone is four tons in gross weight. It is taken from Xinjiang Hotan jade. It has taken two years to manufacture it. And it fully reflects the skill of Beijing palace jade carving."

The other rarity is the large cloisonné work Treasure Bowl beside the jade carving. Cloisonné is a national-level intangible cultural heritage. Its skills and methods are very complicated. And such a large cloisonné work is rare.

Zhong Liansheng, a master of Chinese Arts and Crafts, said, "As the body is so big, the production is very troublesome. It takes more than eight months to elaborate and complete it for thirty or forty national-level senior technicians. All those ornamentation patterns are not painted with pens, but are painted with copper wires. Our technicians use special tweezers to arrange the copper wires into this image. Our drawing cannot lose shape. After that, it is stuck to the copper tire little by little. It also reflects the highest level of the contemporary production techniques of this cloisonné.

In addition to displaying all the treasures to the public, in the Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, some dying jade carving handcrafts are also very worth seeing. A single piece of jade material will be carved into such a shape, with uniform gaps and big rings buckling small rings. It needs 20 years to achieve this skill.

Zhang Tiecheng, a master of Chinese Arts and Crafts, said, "You can find that these hollow things have many eyelets, more than a thousand eyelets. If one eyelet does not work, it may possibly waste all the previous efforts. On the other hand, the technology of the chain is quite difficult. Now, very few people are good at this technology. And no people are willing to learn it because people dare do it after learning for twenty years, just like this work that I carved. Furthermore, students are not willing to learn it because they should be trained for several decades before carving and showing efficiency. They are not willing to learn it, so things like this will be gradually lost. "
