矢原徹一(Prof.Yahara

    Prof.Yahara(矢原徹一),日本九州大学大学院理学研究院生态科学研究室教授,生态学和进化生物学专业,京都大学理学博士。曾任以下国际组织主要成员:植物生物系统国际组织,理事会成员(1992-1995, 2001-03, 2004-),IUCN-SSC (物种生存委员会), 日本植物专家小组主席(1997-), 1998-20013月,任日本生物学会会长。

20081-20101月,任日本生态学会会长。几十年来,研究成果卓著,学术活动频繁,以经常出野外调查研究和主张保护环境以及社会的公平正义而出名,是国际著名的生态学家之一,20094月获得日本内阁总理授予的绿色学术大奖。现任日本21世纪国际COE重大项目主持人,主持研究亚洲范围内的保全生态学和生物多样性。

矢原徹一先生将在本届科博会中国生物多样性保护与利用国际论坛发表演讲。

 

Prof.Yahara (Yahara Toru), Japan School of Science, professor of Kyushu University, Institute of Ecological Sciences, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Kyoto University Ph.D. A former leading member of the following international organizations: International Organization of Plant Biosystematics, Council member (1992-1995, 2001-03, 2004 -), IUCN-SSC (Species Survival Committee), Japanese Plants Specialist Group, Chair (1997 -).

March 1998-2001, he was appointed chairman of the Japanese Biological Society, January 2008 -2 010, he was chairman of Japanese Ecological Society. For decades, he is well-known for distinguished research, academic activities, always out for field research and protection of the environment with social fairness and justice, he is one of the world's leading ecologists, in April 2009 he was granted by the Japanese Prime Minister "Green Academic Award." Host of Japan's current major projects in the 21st century COE, hosted within the scope of Asia's ecology and biodiversity preservation.

日本九州大学介绍

   九州大学是日本原 7 个帝国大学之一,目前已成为日本著名的国立大学,在日本以及世界上均占有一定的地位。九州大学的历史可以追溯到1903年福冈医科大学成立,是九州大学的前身,1911 年方正式挂出九州州帝大医科大学,同时还设有九州帝大工科大学。目前该校总学生达18,588,教师人数2,186。目前,有1500多名来自约80个国家的国际学生在这里学习。

 

Introduction of Kyushu University

Kyushu University is one of the former seven imperial universities in Japan, has become Japan's leading national universities and are all in a certain position in Japan and the world. The history of Kyushu University dates back to 1903 when Fukuoka Medical College was established as the foundation of Kyushu Imperial University. (The college was legally attached to Kyoto Imperial University at that time). The total number of students currently amounts to 18,588, while the faculty members number 2,186. International exchange programs are also greatly encouraged at Kyushu University. At present there are more than 1,500 international students from about eighty countries studying here.
