Circular Economy Seminar-Energy Saving Technology and Major Project Promotion

China is the world's largest emitter of carbon, but also the world's largest carbon emission country. Report of The 18th people's Congress of the Communist Party of China included ecological civilization into the overall layout of the socialist modernization drive to put forward systematically and vigorously promote the construction of ecological civilization in the next five years. 
 
Facing the grim situation of resource constraints, environmental pollution, and ecosystem degradation, to implement the strategic plan of vigorously developing the circular economy, building a conservation-oriented society, and achieving green low-carbon development by Party Central Committee and the State Council, range of policy approaches including enhancing international cooperation, joint developing low-carbon economy, and promoting energy conservation technology promotion and key projects implementation were achieved in Circular Economy Seminar-Energy Saving Technology and Major Project Promotion of 16th High-Tech Expo held by Foreign Economic and Trade University and International Institute for Low-carbon Economy on 24th May 2013 in China International Exhibition Center. There are four aspects about this conference:
 
1. Authority issued. China Low-carbon Economy Development Report (2013) was released for the first time and explained by Zhao Zhongxiu, Vice Chairman of Foreign Economic and Trade University. 
 
China Low-carbon Economy Development Report is the first research report series of low carbon economy committed by the International Institute of Chinese Low-carbon Economy. Brought together a group of core members of the Club of Rome, IPCC Working Group members, a pioneer in the theory of carbon emissions, and Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the State Council Development Research Center, the National Development and Reform Commission and other top academics and government departments of insight, this report discusses international economy status after world financial crisis, compares experience and policy of countries to develop low-carbon economy, summarizes their respond to new trends in climate change, and analyzes including a wide range of extreme weather and environmental issues such as fog and haze for policy formulation and provide reference for government decision-making.
 
2. Expert Interpretation. Xue Jinjun, Professor of International Centre for Economic Policy Research of Nagoya University, gave wonderful speeches on Japan's experience in environmental management issues and its impact on China's revelation of governance PM2.5, Bai Quan, researcher of NDRC Energy Research Institute gave wonderful speeches on China low-carbon development path, Xuan Xiaowei, researcher of State Council Development Research Center gave wonderful speeches on Taking Efficiency in resource conservation, ecological and environmental protection as the starting point, to promote structural adjustment and transformation methods, Li Meng, Doctor of Chinese Academy of Urban Development and Environment Institute gave wonderful speeches on PM2.5 governance fundamental solution lies in the development of low-carbon, Wang Yi, researcher of Institute of Policy and Management Science of Chinese Academy of Science gave wonderful speeches on Improve regional environmental quality and ecological civilization construction.
 
In theme of “Green Development”, keyword of “Low-carbon economy “, around circular economy and energy conservation, from aspects of energy conservation, new energy strategy, environmental protection and ecological balance, low-carbon urban construction etc., these experts authoritatively interpreted “Twelfth Five Year Plan” and “Report of The 18th people's Congress of the Communist Party of China”, described the development of a blueprint to build a beautiful China, authoritatively analyzed latest trends of green low-carbon development, and gave advice on ecological civilization construction and achieving sustainable development. 
3. Project promotion. The conference will provide a platform for publishing and promotion of recycling economy, energy conservation, low-carbon economy, saving society, new materials, new technologies, new processes, patents and other projects. Gao Junfeng, President of Bamboo China Willow Group and Zhai Lei, General Manager of Suzhou Gaia Technology will participate in the speech and promotion. They will invite experts to review the items in enterprise promotion to give evaluative comments for the project side reference.
 
4. Follow-up. The conference is not only building an interactive platform of exchanging erection of experts and audience, and is also planning to organize part of representatives to attend 19th Conference of the Parties of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change-9th Conference of the Parties of Kyoto Protocol to participate in discussing and developing international energy saving measures and exchanging technology innovation and project development experience.

By cycle energy and energy saving technology applications continuing to move forward, we can create industrial civilization and also return the blue sky to the town. This High-Tech Expo will provide a platform to those who can hand in hand and create new life.
