范智廉(Douglas J Flint) CBE

集团主席


范智廉是汇丰控股有限公司的集团主席。

范智廉毕业后即加入Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co(现称毕马威),受训成为特许会计师,于1988年获委任为该公司合伙人。

范智廉在毕马威专门负责银行业、跨国公司财务报告、财资及证券交易、集团重组及诉讼支持等范畴的会计工作。他于1995年9月30日加入汇丰,同年12月1日成为集团财务董事。2010年2月,范智廉的职责范围进一步扩大,担任集团财务总监兼风险与监管事务执行董事。他于2010年12月3日成为汇丰控股有限公司集团主席。

2012年6月,范智廉获委任为国际金融学会主席。他是北京市市长国际企业家顾问会及上海市市长国际企业家咨询会议成员,以及上海中欧国际工商学院国际顾问委员会的成员。他亦是英国政府金融服务贸易及投资委员会的独立外界成员,直至2015年6月为止,并应英国首相邀请自2014年1月起出任英国商务大使。

范智廉1955年7月生于苏格兰,在格拉斯哥大学取得会计学名誉学士学位;1983年修毕哈佛商学院的管理发展课程(PMD)。他是苏格兰特许会计师公会及英国公司司库公会成员,亦是特许管理会计师公会资深会员。

2006年6月,范智廉获英女皇颁授帝国司令勋衔(CBE),表扬他对金融业的贡献。2004至2005年,他出任英国财务汇报委员会的Turnbull Guidance on Internal Control检讨小组主席;2001至2004年任英国会计准则委员会及国际会计准则委员会属下的准则咨询理事会成员。他曾参与Shipley公开披露工作小组,并且是三十人小组的《提升公众对财务汇报信心》报告,以及交易对手风险管理政策小组III 于2008年发表的《限制系统性风险:改革之路》报告的联席主席。他于2005年1月1日至2011年4月14日期间任英国石油有限公司非执行董事,并于最后一年兼任该公司监察委员会主席。

范智廉已婚,有三名子女,爱好高尔夫球运动。


Douglas J Flint

CBE Group Chairman HSBC Holdings plc   

Douglas Flint is Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc.  

He began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) where he trained as a chartered accountant. He was appointed a partner of the firm in 1988.  

Mr Flint specialised in banking, multinational financial reporting, treasury and securities trading operations, group re-organisations and litigation support while at KPMG. He joined HSBC on 30 September 1995 and was appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director on 1 December 1995. In February 2010, Mr Flint’s responsibilities were broadened to that of Chief Financial Officer, Executive Director Risk and Regulation. He was appointed Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc on  3 December 2010.  

Mr Flint was appointed Chairman of the Institute of International Finance in June 2012. He is a member of both the Mayor of Beijing’s and the Mayor of Shanghai’s International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council, as well as a member of the International Advisory Board of the China Europe International Business School, Shanghai. He was an independent external member of the Financial Services Trade and Investment Board in the UK until June 2015 and has been, by invitation from the Prime Minister, a British Business Ambassador since January 2014.  

Mr Flint was born in Scotland in July 1955 and was educated at Glasgow University where he gained a B.Acc (Hons) degree. He also completed the PMD course at Harvard Business School in 1983. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.  

In June 2006 he was honoured with a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) by Her Majesty the Queen in recognition of his services to the finance industry. Mr Flint was Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council’s review of the Turnbull Guidance on Internal Control from 2004-2005 and served on the Accounting Standards Board and the Advisory Council of the International Accounting Standards Board from 20012004. He also served on the Shipley Working Group on Public Disclosure and cochaired the Group of Thirty report on Enhancing Public Confidence in Financial Reporting, and the 2008 Report of the CRMPG III, “Containing Systemic Risk: The Road to Reform”. Mr Flint served as a non-executive director of BP plc from  1 January 2005 until 14 April 2011 and was Chairman of its Audit Committee in his final year.   

Mr Flint is married with three children. His hobbies include golf.
